Isa Balog

Active since : 2007
A person

Multidisciplinary artist, Isa Balog has been exploring for several years, through different media, the representation of realities that she calls "floating". Her plastical research was born from a reflection on the multiplicity of points of view, the infinite possibilities of interpreting reality and the complexity of representing an objective "reality".

Romanian artist and a graduate at the University of Art and Design from Cluj-Napoca, Romania (class 2007).  In the last few years she  has been living in both Cluj and Rennes, France, dividing her activity between the two cities.

Located somewhere at the border between the Fine Arts and the Numerical Arts, her projects involve the use of a wide range of materials which she merge into representations of « floating realities », as she likes to call them. Her artistic research originated from a desire to reflect on the multiplicity of points of view people have, the infinite possibilities of interpreting the existence and the traces an event can leave in one’s memory.
